Power engineers have restored the high-voltage line that supplies the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP. This was reported by the Ukrenergo press service.
"Since November 14, after another russian shelling, the Zaporizhzhia NPP has been powered by one line, which is a gross violation of international nuclear safety requirements. After the previous power supply, the line restored today managed to be in operation for less than a week. And before that, it had been de-energized for about six months, since May. The reasons for the outages are regular russian shelling, which damages wires, insulation and lightning protection cables, causing breaks and short circuits," the report says.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukrainian power engineers have had to restore power to the Zaporizhzhia NPP more than 40 times. 10 times the Zaporizhzhia NPP lost power from the Ukrainian power system completely.
Recall, on November 14, Energoatom reported that the Zaporizhzhia NPP had lost power from one of the main lines and was on the verge of a blackout.
