The Defense Forces of Ukraine launched a successful strike with ATACMS missiles on military facilities on the territory of the aggressor country, russia.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Facebook on November 18, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully used ATACMS tactical missile systems to launch a pinpoint strike on military facilities on the territory of russia," the report says.
It is noted that this is a landmark event that emphasizes Ukraine's unwavering commitment to its sovereignty.
"Despite the constant challenges of russian attacks, Ukrainians remain steadfast, demonstrating their determination to persistently and systematically defend their homeland," the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
The General Staff emphasized that the use of long-range weapons of destruction, in particular, such as ATACMS, will continue.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 4, US President Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a telephone conversation that Ukraine should move from defense to offense at the front.
One of the Ukrainian officials then stated that the supply of weapons, such as long-range ATACMS missiles and other types of American weapons, could change the course of the war in Ukraine's favor if the transfer were to be concentrated over a period of 50 days.
