As a result of russian drone attacks during the night and morning of November 17, consumers in the Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Odesa Regions were cut off from electricity. Wherever the security situation allows, emergency restoration works have already begun, Ukrenergo reports.

Due to the consequences of previous massive attacks, hourly outage schedules with 1 to 4 stages, as well as power limitation schedules for industrial consumers and businesses are in effect in most regions.

Electricity consumption has increased. Today it is 9.7% higher than on the previous business day, Friday, November 14.

"The reason for the changes is cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine. This leads to low efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding increase in energy consumption from the general grid," the statement said.

According to power engineers, the need for economical energy consumption will remain today throughout the day.

"Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances. If possible, postpone energy-intensive processes to the period after 10 p.m. Saving electricity consumption will contribute to a shorter duration of forced outages," Ukrenergo added.

As a reminder, yesterday russia struck a power facility in the Chernihiv Region with drones.
