The Kvartal-95 studio has published an official statement in which it emphasized that it does not participate in political processes and has no connection with the business activities of its shareholders. This is announced in the statement of Kvartal-95.
"We will not allow ourselves to be drawn into political games or manipulations. We have no connection with any of our shareholders' businesses or political processes. What is happening now has no direct connection with either our work or our creativity," the statement said.
In the statement of Kvartal-95 it was emphasized that the team consists of hundreds of people and has been working for over 20 years, supporting the morale of the country even in the most difficult periods. They assured that public pressure would not affect the studio's work:
"We will defend ourselves. We are not afraid," the artists said.
The artists urged the audience to draw conclusions based on their work, not on informational pretexts, and promised to express their position during the concerts scheduled for December 6-7.
At the same time, the studio explained that they had changed the performance schedule in order to protect the invited artists from unnecessary pressure.
At the end of the address, the studio emphasized that, despite external circumstances, it would remain close to its audience and continue its creative activities.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) announced that they were conducting a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector.
On November 10, NABU detectives came to search the homes of businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio, Tymur Mindich, Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko, and Energoatom.
On November 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions against Tymur Mindich and Oleksandr Tsukerman, defendants in the Energoatom corruption case.
