According to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) audio recordings, those involved in the case of businessman Tymur Mindich said they transferred USD 20,000 to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP).
This is evidenced by the data on decoding of the NABU's audio recordings, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Tenor: okay...so these are firefighters transfer EUR 21,620. I took 21,620 here with a deduction of 10%. So this is TsZ. There was 30 according to the report, but now there are 7, 20 I gave to this one - to the NACP. The certificate will be brought to me tomorrow," one of the conversations of the defendants says.
According to media reports, Tenor is a former employee of the Prosecutor General's Office Dmytro Basov.
On November 12, the NACP responded to these NABU records and appointed an official inspection.
"Due to the public outcry due to the published NABU materials, which mention the NACP, we inform you that on November 10, 2025, an official inspection was initiated and an official request was sent to the NABU to obtain the relevant information. We also note that the Public Council at the NACP published a statement demanding such actions and promptly received a response," the NACP statement says.
The NACP confirmed its readiness for maximum cooperation with the public, media, law enforcement agencies and other parties, and at the same time expects NABU to provide a response to the sent request and additional information, which will allow for a prompt and high-quality inspection.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the High Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a preventive measure for Lesia Ustymenko and Ihor Fursenko, who are suspected of involvement in a large-scale corruption scheme to embezzle funds from the Energoatom national nuclear power generating company. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on the introduction of sanctions against Tymur Mindich and Oleksandr Tsukerman, defendants in the case of the corruption scheme at Energoatom. Both, according to the decree, are citizens of Israel. On November 10, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) announced that they are conducting a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector.
