US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the US has exhausted its options for imposing sanctions against the aggressor state of russia.
He said this in a conversation with reporters.
"Well, there are not many options left for sanctions on our side. We hit their largest oil companies, which everyone asked for," Rubio said.
The US Secretary of State also described the fight against the shadow fleet of the russian federation as a mechanism for ensuring the implementation of sanctions, but not as a pretext for new ones. He also believes that partners - European countries - should play a more active role in this process, since a significant part of the ships pass closer to their territories.
In addition, Rubio said that russia has clearly indicated what it wants - the rest of the Donetsk Region, and, he noted, such demands are "unacceptable for the Ukrainian side."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy meanwhile announced that Ukraine and the United States have begun joint production of interceptor drones used in air defense.
