Sports journalist Ihor Burbas has released information about possible systemic interference in Ukrainian football refereeing in favor of Dynamo Kyiv. The corresponding video was published on his channel on YouTube.
According to Burbas, this practice has been going on for many years
A key figure in the scheme, according to the journalist, is former referee Mykola Kryvonosov, who allegedly determines which referees to appoint to matches of the capital's club, as well as influences their behavior before games.
Burbas also spoke about the financial component - according to his information, arbitrators receive a promised reward of USD 10,000 for the "right" result.
"I was told that for good, loyal refereeing in relation to Dynamo Kyiv, there is a bonus for the arbitrators - USD 10,000," said Ihor Burbas.
Dynamo Kyiv, led by Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, currently ranks fourth in the Ukrainian league standings. Kyiv will play their next match away to Kolos on November 22.
As you know, Ihor Burbas is a well-known Ukrainian sports journalist. At various times he worked on the TV channels Football 1/2/3, and was also a freelance advisor to the UAF. Currently, Burbas runs his own Youtube project. Despite the fact that Burbas often acts as a source of insider information, some observers criticize him, calling him an example of a "tabloid" approach to sports journalism, since his materials sometimes contain unconfirmed allegations or sensational statements.
Earlier it was reported that after the defeat by Shakhtar, Dynamo coach complained about the refereeing.
