Zelenskyy visits Kherson on third anniversary of the city's liberation from russian occupiers

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Kherson on the anniversary of the city's liberation from russian occupation.

He announced this on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Today in Kherson. It's already the third anniversary of the city's liberation from the russians - the occupiers fled from here, and we remember how the courage of our people did this, how the Ukrainian flags returned to the city - the city of Kherson. I thank every one of our soldiers who fought for Kherson, everyone who is defending this beautiful city now - the lives of our people," Zelenskyy wrote.

The President added that he held a meeting in Kherson with everyone responsible for the city's security.

"There were also our military - the Unmanned Systems Forces. They determined that Kherson should be given more protection. Thousands of russian drone strikes every month against this city, in fact, such a threat is constantly present. I determined that our Unmanned Systems Forces, "Birds of Magyar" and other units will increase the capabilities here. It is the capabilities of protection... We have determined tasks for the protection of roads, logistics - government officials will help," Zelenskyy added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, November 11, marks three years since the liberation of Kherson from russian occupation. Then the Armed Forces of Ukraine regained control over the only regional center that the aggressor country of russia managed to capture at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
