As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the energy sector is recognized as one of the priority sectors in accordance with the Strategy for Lending Development developed by the National Bank of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Within its framework, the National Bank has implemented a number of steps to activate lending to priority sectors.
In particular, to stimulate financing of the energy sector, the requirements for banks' assessment of credit risks have been revised and the coefficients for taking into account the cost of energy equipment when accepting it as collateral for relevant loans have been increased.
