Three drones spotted over NPP in Belgium

Drones have been spotted again in Belgium - this time over the Doel nuclear power plant, a spokesman for the energy company Engie, the operator of the nuclear power plant, said on the evening of November 9.

So, we are talking about a nuclear power plant located near the port city of Antwerp. According to the spokesman, the incident with drones did not affect the operation of the power plant.

It is noted that the authorities have been informed about it.

Recall that on the evening of November 4, drones were spotted over airports and military air bases in Belgium. The airport in Brussels suspended operations and 40 flights were canceled for the morning. As a result, air traffic over Brussels Airport and Liege Airport was stopped.

In addition, on October 2, 15 drones were spotted over the Elsenborn military base in southeastern Belgium.

Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken said that the drones over the Kleine-Brogel air base were spying on F-16 fighters.

After that, the Chief of the General Staff of the Belgian Armed Forces, Frederik Vansina, said that the Belgian army had received orders to shoot down any unidentified drones over military bases.
