After the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, relations are "reaching new heights."

The US State Department has stated this.

The State Department spoke about a number of agreements signed after the talks between the two leaders, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Among them is cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, in particular, the construction of ten small modular reactors, as well as the storage of spent fuel.

Budapest has signed a USD 114 million deal with Westinghouse (US) to supply nuclear fuel. In addition, Hungary has pledged to purchase USD 600 million worth of liquefied natural gas and USD 700 million worth of American defense products from the United States.
