Most Ukrainians do not plan to shop on Black Friday this year. According to the results of a Rakuten Viber survey, 83% of respondents said that they will not take advantage of discounts, and 64% do not believe in the fairness of such promotions at all.
About 18,000 users took part in the survey. Only 3% of Ukrainians plan to spend more than last year, while 6% - less. Another 8% plan to spend the same amount as last year. 19% of respondents do not plan to buy anything at all on this day this year, although they have previously used Black Friday discounts. And 64% of respondents said that they never buy on this day, because they do not believe in such discounts. Interestingly, in 2024, this answer was also chosen by 64% of respondents.
The most popular category among those waiting for discounts is clothing and footwear - 39% of respondents plan to buy them. This is followed by home appliances (12%), gadgets (10%) and children's goods (8%).
On the other hand, interest in food and alcohol has decreased - only 5% of respondents plan to make such purchases this year, compared to 13% in 2024.
