On November 6, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) granted permission to the mobile operator Kyivstar to acquire a controlling stake in the authorized capital of the renewable energy producer Sanvin 11.
This is stated in a report by the Antimonopoly Committee, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Permission has been granted to Kyivstar PrJSC to acquire control over Sanvin 11 LLC by acquiring a stake in the authorized capital of Sanvin 11 LLC, which ensures an excess of 50 percent of votes in the company's supreme management body," the report says.
According to YouControl, Sanvin 11 is registered in Odesa and is engaged in solar power plants.
Its revenue last year amounted to UAH 81.8 million.
100% of the company's authorized capital belongs to MERESTONO LIMITED, a company registered in Cyprus.
The ultimate beneficiaries of the energy company are Ukrainian citizen Natalia Bohachova, who lives in the Czech Republic, and Israeli citizen Petro Rosenkrantz.
Each of them has 50% control over the Ukrainian company, which is fully owned by a Cypriot company.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the summer, Kyivstar applied to the Antimonopoly Committee for the third time with an application to purchase the online medicine booking service Tabletki.ua.
On August 15, the Kyivstar group began trading on the Nasdaq stock exchange in New York.
