Military deaths after russian missile strike investigated in Dnipropetrovsk Region

The State Bureau of Investigation has opened an investigation into the death and injury of Ukrainian servicemen as a result of a russian missile strike in the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The State Bureau of Investigation reported this in a statement.

The missile attack took place on November 1 at about 5 p.m. Russian troops attacked the location of a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result, Ukrainian servicemen were killed.

The investigative team is working at the scene. Law enforcers are establishing all the circumstances of the tragedy, in particular, checking whether the safety rules during the air raid were observed and whether the shelter for the military was properly organized.

The investigation is being conducted under Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code - negligent attitude to military service under martial law.

The 30th Marine Corps confirmed the attack on the place where their soldiers were located. According to the unit, the attack was aimed at the center of the village, and there was no parade ground or open area for formation. The strike resulted in deaths and injuries among both the military and local residents.

Law enforcement agencies are currently establishing the details of the incident. It is noted that a number of officials have been temporarily suspended for an objective investigation.

What is known about the death of the military in the Dnipropetrovsk Region

TSN journalist Dmytro Sviatnenko said that his brother, a soldier, was killed on November 1 in a russian ballistic missile strike. According to him, the soldiers were gathered on the parade ground for an open-air award ceremony when the attack occurred. Sviatnenko said his brother had been fighting since 2013 and took part in battles in Krynky, Kurakhove, Marianka and Krasnohorivka. The day before the death of the soldier with the call sign "Znakhar," the brigade's press service filmed a story about him as a fighter who saved the wounded.
