In October, compared to September, Ukraine increased electricity imports by 2.5 times to 360,000 MWh ExPro, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report says that Hungary continues to have the largest share in imports, 51%. 
In late October, Ukraine resumed cross-border trade with Slovakia after an almost two-month break due to repairs on the Veľké Kapušany-Mukachevo line.
Imports from Slovakia for the last 3 days of the month amounted to 7,600 MWh, exports to Slovakia for this period amounted to 1,800 MWh.
It is noted that in general, electricity imports in October increased in all directions.
Compared to October 2024, electricity imports to Ukraine have doubled.
At the same time, electricity exports in October 2025 fell by 85% due to increased shelling of energy infrastructure.
In total, 90,800 MWh of electricity were exported to the EU and Moldova during the month.

Deliveries decreased in all directions, except for Slovakia.
Hungary also has the largest share, 43%.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in September, compared to August, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 41% to 635,000 MWh.
Electricity imports in September 2025 decreased by 47% compared to the previous month - to almost 140,000 MWh.
