On the night of Monday, November 3, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Saratov Oil Refinery in the Saratov Oblast of the aggressor country, russia. The facility was hit and a fire was recorded in the area of the complex of oil refineries ELOU AVT-6. This is said in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The General Staff noted that the Saratov Refinery is one of the oldest oil refineries in russia. As of 2023, the refining volume amounted to 4.8 million tons. The company is involved in meeting the needs of the russian armed forces.
The Defense Forces also struck at the invaders' logistics facilities in the temporarily occupied Luhansk Region. In particular, a logistics depot in Rozkishne and a rolling stock of fuel and lubricants in Dovzhansk were hit.
"The defense forces are consistently implementing a set of measures to destroy critical elements of the military-industrial base of the terrorist state in order to deprive it of the opportunity to continue aggression," the General Staff emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of November 1, the Defense Forces inflicted a fire damage on the infrastructure of the RN-Tuapse Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the aggressor country of the russian federation.
In addition, on the night of October 31, in the russian city of Oryol, drones attacked a local thermal power plant. The incident was reported by local publics and later confirmed by the Governor of the Oryol Oblast, Andrey Klytschkov.
