Harvesting of sunflower and soybeans coming to end

Ukrainian farmers have harvested almost 40.2 million tons of grains and legumes and 15.6 million tons of oilseeds (sunflower - 8,371,900 tons, soybeans - 3,938,200 tons).

This is said in a statement by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News reports.

The report says that as of October 31, Ukraine has already harvested 40,200,900 tons of grain crops on an area of 8,770,800 hectares.

Threshing of 76% of the area sown with these crops has been completed.

In particular: wheat - 22,782,900 tons on the area of 5,049,800 hectares; barley - 5,372,500 tons on the area of 1,350,500 hectares; peas - 660,700 tons on the area of 271,300 hectares; and corn - 10,359,200 tons on the area of 1,684,100 hectares, which is 40% of the sown area.

Other grains and legumes have been harvested in the amount of 881,600 tons on the area of 319,100 hectares.

Among the leaders, in particular: the Odesa Region - 3,807,300 tons from the area of 1,147,700 hectares; Poltava Region - 3,118,900 tons from the area of 653,800 hectares; Chernihiv Region - 3,040,000 tons from the area of 464,600 hectares and Vinnytsia Region - 2,993,400 tons from the area of 516,900 hectares.

As of October 31, 2025, the total amount of oilseeds harvested was 15.629 million tons.

In particular: sunflower - 8,371,900 tons on the area of 4,442,900 hectares; soybean - 3,938,200 tons on the area of 1,684,500 hectares; and rapeseed - 3,318,800 tons on the area of 1,275,600 hectares.

In general, sunflower was harvested from 86% of the planted areas, soybeans - 78%, rapeseed harvesting is completed.

Sugar beet has already been harvested in the amount of 6,794,200 tons on the area of 130,000 hectares, which is 66% of the planted area.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of October 17, 2025, Ukraine had already harvested 34,748,800 tons of grain crops on the area of 7,979,100 hectares.
