Ukraine resumes cross-border electricity trade with Slovakia

Ukraine resumed cross-border electricity trade with Slovakia on October 29, which was practically absent in September due to the repair of the Veľké Kapušany-Mukachevo line.

ExPro publication writes about this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The report says that according to the ENTSO-E Transparency Platform, Ukraine is already importing and exporting resources in this direction.

Electricity imports from Slovakia amounted to 1110 MWh on October 29

Most electricity was imported at 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. (Kyiv time), 94 MW.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, electricity imports in September 2025 decreased by 47%, compared to the previous month - to almost 140,000 MWh.

In September, compared to August, Ukraine increased electricity exports by 41% to 635,000 MWh.
