The army of the aggressor country shelled Mykolaivka in the Donetsk Region, the strike fell on the Slovyansk thermal power plant. Two people were killed.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this in his traditional evening address.
"A few hours ago there was an attack on the Slovyansk TPP. A strike by russian bombs. Unfortunately, two people were killed. My condolences. There are wounded," the President said.
He noted that this attack was another example of terrorist attacks by the aggressor country on Ukraine. The way russia is waging war must be met with an appropriate response from the international community.
Zelenskyy added that there are already specific agreements between Ukraine and Norway on the issue of energy, including on supporting gas purchases. There are also agreements with Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, with whom work is underway on equipment for generating electricity.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of today, October 30, the russian army carried out a massive air attack on Ukraine, using missiles and drones. The strikes were again directed at energy facilities.
DTEK said that as a result of the russian attack, thermal power plants were damaged in several regions of Ukraine.
