On the night of October 30, the army of the aggressor state of russia damaged two energy infrastructure facilities in the Lviv Region, in particular, the Dobrotvir thermal power plant was damaged by enemy strikes.
This was announced on social networks by the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Maksym Kozytskyi and the member of the Lviv City Council Ihor Zinkevych, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"As a result of the combined air and missile strike that took place on the night of October 30, two energy infrastructure facilities were damaged in the Lviv Region," Kozytskyi wrote in the Telegram channel.
He added that due to the consequences of the attack on Ukraine, hourly power outage schedules have been introduced in all regions, including the Lviv Region.
Meanwhile, Lviv City Council member Ihor Zinkevych reported on Facebook that the russians had struck the Dobrotvir TPP at night, after which a fire broke out at the facility.
"In the Lviv Region: strike on the Dobrotvir TPP - damage to critical infrastructure, fire," he wrote.
The Dobrotvir TPP in the Lviv Region is part of DTEK.
The plant ensures the operation of the power grid in the west of the country.
The installed capacity of the plant is 510 MW.
In addition to generating electricity, the plant also provides heat and drinking water to the nearby village of Dobrotvir.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of October 30, russia carried out a massive missile and drone strike on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, as a result of which new damage to energy facilities was recorded.
