In Lviv, the heating season for the residential sector will begin on November 3.

The mayor of the city Andrii Sadovyi announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Starting Monday, we will launch heating in residential buildings throughout the city," Sadovyi wrote.

The mayor added that depending on the heating system, heat will appear in homes over the next 2-5 day.

Kindergartens, schools and hospitals are already receiving heat.

Sadovyi added that this weekend will still be relatively warm, but no indulgences are expected from November, so it's good that we can turn on the heat for everyone.

The mayor noted that in case of unforeseen failures, Lviv residents should report to the city's hotline so that workers can quickly fix everything.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the heating season in Ukraine will start on October 28.
