Zelenskyy promises to use 500-800 interceptor drones per day already in November

From November, Ukraine plans to deploy 500-800 interceptor drones on daily duty to repel attacks by Shahed drones. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a meeting with journalists.

It was also reported that in order to shoot down such a number of drones at altitude, it is necessary to use all air defense methods.

"Shaheds have become more dangerous than ballistic missiles in some places. We shoot down a ballistic missile at least where we have Patriot. And to shoot down such a large number of Shaheds at such an altitude, you need to use everything. The Armed Forces of Ukraine use interceptors, F-16s and helicopters. However, in the cold, we will see how we will use helicopters," he noted.

According to Zelenskyy, the interceptors have different characteristics - some of them have already reached a high technical level, in particular, they are equipped with homing systems and modern electronics.

"We are moving towards this. Anyway, in November we will reach 500-800 interceptors per day," he added.

The President emphasized that Ukraine needs to train operators. After all, many mobile fire groups are stationed at various facilities.

"Therefore, many operators are needed who will work with interceptors. However, at the same time, we need to respond with long-range weapons to russian attacks," Zelenskyy emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Fox News that today the effectiveness of destroying enemy UAVs by interceptor drones is 68%. According to him, this indicator will increase in the future.
