US President Donald Trump considers Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio to be the main possible candidates for the 2028 presidential election. At the same time, he admitted that he himself would "be happy to run" again.
Trump stated this to reporters on October 27 during a flight to Japan, Politico reports.
"I would be happy to do it - I have the best records in history," he said, commenting on the possibility of a third presidential term.
However, the American leader clarified that he had "not thought" about a new campaign yet, because in the United States, according to him, "there are a lot of good people" for this position. When asked to name names, he gestured at Secretary of State Rubio, adding: "One of them is standing right here."
Trump also praised his Vice President JD Vance, calling him "great" and adding that "it's unlikely anyone would want to compete with those two."
Recall, Donald Trump said that he "would be happy to meet" with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as part of his trip to a number of Asian countries.
