The rise in tomato prices in Ukraine has continued for the third week in a row.
This is stated in a report by the EastFruit project, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report states that the limited supply of greenhouse tomatoes on the Ukrainian market allows local combines to actively increase prices for these products.
At the end of last week, tomatoes became more expensive by an average of 14% compared to the week before last, and now greenhouse combines are offering tomatoes for sale at UAH 80-90 per kilogram.

As market players note, deliveries of greenhouse tomatoes from local combines are currently quite small and unstable.
A number of farms have already announced the completion of the sale of current turnover products.
In other stationary greenhouses, crop ripening has slowed down significantly due to the cold snap, and supplies from greenhouse greenhouses have stopped altogether.
Moreover, it is also not yet possible to compensate for the lack of supply of local greenhouse vegetables at the expense of imported products.
It is noted that today tomatoes in Ukraine cost an average of 22% more than at the end of October 2024.
At the same time, producers intend to continue to raise prices for tomatoes provided that current sales rates are maintained, explaining their decision by the limited supply of products from local combines.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, cucumbers continue to rise rapidly in price in Ukraine.
