Armed Forces of Ukraine regain control over 2 settlements on Pokrovsk axis in 10 days - General Staff

Ukrainian Defense Forces have regained control over Kucheriv Yar and Sukhetske in the Pokrovsk District of the Donetsk Region over the past ten days. During this period, 1756 enemy servicemen were killed.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has reported this in a statement.

"Over the past ten days, Ukrainian troops operating in the Ocheretyne section have regained control over two more settlements - Kucheriv Yar and Sukhetske," the statement said.

It is noted that since August 21, the situation in this area has been stabilized, control over nine settlements has been restored, and nine more have been cleared of enemy subversive groups.

Also, 1756 servicemen and 75 pieces of enemy equipment were destroyed over the last ten days. The "exchange fund" is constantly replenished with russian prisoners.

As of October 26, Ukrainian soldiers liberated 185.6 km² and cleared 243.8 km² of the Pokrovsk District of the Donetsk Region.

In the course of the operation to liberate the village of Kucheriv Yar, Ukrainian defenders took more than 50 russian occupants prisoner. The servicemen of the 132nd reconnaissance battalion of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine raised the Ukrainian flag.

Earlier, servicemen of the 425th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cleared the village of Torske in the north of the Donetsk Region from the forces of the russian occupation army
