Russian president vladimir putin has held a meeting with Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov after the test of a nuclear-powered cruise missile, the Burevestnik. According to reports, the test took place on October 21: the missile flew about 14,000 km and stayed in the air for about 15 hours, russian media reports.
Gerasimov stated that the technical characteristics allow hitting well-protected targets at any distance with "guaranteed accuracy." Putin, in turn, said that the tests once again confirmed the reliability of russia's nuclear shield and called Burevestnik a unique development. He also instructed to identify possible ways to use this weapon and to begin preparing the infrastructure for its introduction into the armed forces.
Recall that back in the summer, there was information that russia could be preparing to test a new missile, despite putin's planned meeting with Trump.
