German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche was forced to go into hiding during a nighttime attack by russian drones on Kyiv. She told journalists about this episode, calling it a "painful experience," writes European Pravda.
"This night once again showed me very clearly that Russia's attacks on the Ukrainian population are aimed at exhausting them," Reiche said, noting that such attacks have become a sad routine for Ukrainians.
She arrived in Ukraine the day before with an economic delegation - the visit will last several days. During her stay in Kyiv, the minister emphasized that strikes on energy infrastructure on the eve of winter are particularly dangerous and promised German assistance in restoring damaged power grids.
"Germany will not abandon the Ukrainian people," Reiche emphasized.
As a reminder, the night attack on Kyiv on October 25 killed three people and wounded 12 others.
