On the night of Saturday, October 25, russian troops fired ballistic missiles at Kyiv, the effects of the attack were recorded in several districts of the capital, one person was killed and 10 were injured.
The press service of the State Emergency Service, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Tymur Tkachenko, and Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on the Telegram messenger, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
An airstrike was declared in Kyiv at 3:51 a.m. due to the threat of a ballistic strike.
Within a few minutes, a series of powerful explosions were heard in the capital.
"As a result of the shelling, there were hits in the Desnianskyi, Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi Districts. A non-residential building caught fire at one of the locations," the State Emergency Service said.
Also, debris fell on an open area at another address, damaging the windows in nearby buildings.
Rescuers noted that, according to preliminary information, 9 people were injured, three of whom were hospitalized.
Meanwhile, the head of the capital's military administration reported that a kindergarten in the Dniprovskyi District was damaged as a result of the attack.
And according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, large fires broke out in non-residential buildings in the Desnianskyi and Darnytskyi Districts as a result of the shelling.
Later, Tkachenko reported that, according to updated data, one person was killed in the capital as a result of the russian attack that night, 10 Kyiv residents were injured to varying degrees.
Rescuers and relevant services are working at the scene.
