Russians wanted to take child. Mother and baby manage to return from occupation

Ukraine managed to return a woman with a child from the russian occupation, whom the "guardianship services" wanted to take away. This was reported by the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, on the Telegram channel.

"After the occupation of her hometown in 2022, the life of a 23-year-old woman turned into survival. When she refused to receive a russian passport, the so-called "guardianship services" tried to take away her newborn son under the pretext that the mother allegedly could not provide for the child," the report says.

According to Yermak, the girl lived in constant fear for a year, hiding from the occupation authorities so as not to lose her child. The only thing the girl dreamed of was to go to her sister in Dnipro.

"Today, the mother and the baby are already in the territory controlled by Ukraine. They are receiving assistance in restoring their documents, psychological support and accompaniment to start a new life in safety," he added.

As a reminder, the russian ombudsman Lvova-Belova admitted that she illegally took the boy out of Mariupol and "changed his consciousness."
