Musician and leader of the band Vopli Vidopliasova Oleh Skrypka expressed his belief that the military should take power in Ukraine. The artist said that he supports a "military coup", because, in his opinion, it is those who have been through the front who are able to ensure the independence of the state. The singer said this in an interview with Apostrophe TV.
Skrypka noted that citizens often elect "populists" who play on the emotions of voters.
"People elect populists, like most girls elect bastards who throw baloney on their ears, and then they live with this bastards," the artist said.
According to the musician, only those who have been through combat operations should be allowed into politics.
"I'm for a military coup. To put a normal military or even allow only military personnel into politics. That's it! Those who have gone through combat operations. For example, Magyar or volunteers like Serhii Sternenko," Skrypka said.
It is worth noting that Serhii Sternenko is not a military personnel. Moreover, in 2024, the territorial recruitment and social support center fined Sternenko UAH 17,000 for evading mobilization.
At the same time, the singer added that even military personnel and volunteers should undergo a check to understand what they are like "beyond the media image."
Previously, Oleh Skrypka stated that feminism and the LGBT movement lead to a decrease in humanity and are tools for reducing the population along with wars and epidemics.
