OpenAI introduces ChatGPT Atlas - its own browser with integrated AI

OpenAI has announced the launch of its own web browser with support for artificial intelligence called ChatGPT Atlas. During the presentation, the developers showed the main features of the new product.

ChatGPT Atlas is positioned as an alternative to traditional browsers with a focus on personalized user experience. The main feature is a memory system that allows the AI assistant to remember the user's preferences and adapt to his work style.

The browser also allows ChatGPT to perform actions on behalf of the user - book tickets, tables in restaurants, edit documents or help with routine tasks.

When opening links from the search, the screen is divided into two parts: a web page opens on the left, and a dialogue with ChatGPT on the right. This format provides constant access to the assistant, although it can be turned off.

During the stream, the OpenAI team demonstrated how Atlas automatically creates page summaries and allows you to quickly edit texts directly in the browser window.

According to the company's CEO Sam Altman, OpenAI "sees the future of the Internet as a chat interface inside the browser."

ChatGPT Atlas is currently available to macOS users worldwide. Versions for Windows, iOS, and Android are promised to be released in the near future.

OpenAI previously explained why the ChatGPT model can suddenly become "more limited" during a dialogue.
