Night attack on Izmail: energy and port infrastructure damaged

On the night of October 22, russian troops carried out another attack on Izmail, Odesa Region. As a result of the shelling, the city's energy and port infrastructure were damaged.

As reported by the Izmail District State Administration, part of Izmail was left without electricity after the explosions. Power engineers are gradually restoring power supply. The operational headquarters and all relevant services of the district are working on the scene to eliminate the consequences of the attack.

The District State Administration report notes that all critical infrastructure is functioning. The fires that arose as a result of the shelling were quickly extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Local residents reported that the explosions in the city occurred after the appearance of drones recorded by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of the Odesa Region.

This is not the first time that Izmail has come under enemy attacks. On the night of September 2, the russians attacked the port infrastructure of the Izmail district, causing fires that rescuers quickly extinguished. In addition, on August 20, the enemy also carried out drone strikes on the city, as a result of which infrastructure and production facilities were damaged.

As a reminder, on the night of October 22, Kyiv was subjected to another air attack by russia. As a result of falling debris, fires broke out in various districts of the capital, and two people were killed.
