Security Service of Ukraine exposed FSB infiltration into the banking sector of Ukraine. As a result of complex measures, an employee of a state-owned bank was detained in Odesa, who was passing personal information about customers to the enemy. This is reported by the SSU.
As noted, the enemy was most interested in the personal data of the military personnel of the Defense Forces who use the services of a financial institution.
According to the SSU, the occupants planned to use this data to prepare terrorist attacks, information sabotage and recruitment operations against Ukrainian defenders.
To obtain intelligence, the FSB remotely recruited a 56-year-old Odesa resident who worked as a cashier at a local branch of a state bank.
The woman came to the attention of russian special services when she published anti-Ukrainian comments under posts on Telegram channels.
According to the enemy's instructions, during cash transactions, the offender paid special attention to visitors in military uniforms and with signs of injuries sustained in hostilities. When she detected such customers, she immediately reported to her FSB supervisor.
In addition, after hours, the woman walked around the port city and its surroundings and took pictures of the places where the Defense Forces personnel were concentrated.
SSU cyber specialists exposed the agent, documented her crimes and detained her.
Investigators of the Security Service informed the suspect of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The offender is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Security Service detained another russian agent in the Donetsk Region. On the order of the FSB, he was adjusting russian missile, bomb and drone attacks on Kramatorsk and its surroundings.
