President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss recent contacts with partners and diplomacy. The leaders agreed to meet in the near future.

Zelenskyy said this on Facebook.

"I spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron. Now is the right time to push the situation to the end of the war, and the main thing is to take full advantage of all opportunities and put the right pressure on Russia. Putting pressure on the one who started the war is the key to a solution," he said in a statement.

Zelenskyy said he discussed with Macron current aspects of diplomacy and recent contacts with partners.

"I am grateful for the support. We agreed to meet in the near future," he added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, European leaders assured of further support for Ukraine after a joint conversation with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in which he spoke about the results of negotiations with US President Donald Trump.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy said that after his conversations with the leaders of a number of European countries and the leadership of the US, EU and NATO, the parties agreed on further coordination at the level of security advisers.
