Ex-Polish President Kwaśniewski admits he was victim of russian pranksters posing as Poroshenko

Former Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski said he was a victim of russian pranksters posing as former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

He mentioned the incident during a speech at the Catholic University of Lublin, Onet reports.

According to Kwaśniewski, it happened about "a year or two ago." His secretariat was allegedly contacted by representatives of Poroshenko's office with a request to organize an online meeting. The politician agreed.

"We agreed on all the parameters. I open the screen - I see Poroshenko, in a field military uniform. We speak a little English, a little russian. In the end, he says: "Then let's speak in the language of the aggressor," - that is, we spoke in russian," Kwaśniewski recalls.

Later it turned out that this was an operation of russian pranksters, who filmed the conversation and used it for their own purposes. According to Kwaśniewski, they deceived the current Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski in a similar way.

The politician emphasized that during the conversation he did not say anything "that he could regret", because his position on russia's war against Ukraine is "known and unchangeable".

"With my hand on my heart, I saw and heard Poroshenko. It was his voice. If they could deceive me like this, what can we say about voters in the world," Kwaśniewski noted.

Recall that recently a fake was spreading in Poland about an alleged triple murder, allegedly committed by a Ukrainian in Kraków.
