In the regions of the russian federation, payments to men signing contracts for service in the army are being reduced or canceled.
The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) explained that such dynamics indicate the depletion of regional budgets against the backdrop of the war and the growth of state spending.
This was reported on the Telegram channel by the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
The indicated trend of reducing or canceling payments to new recruits was recorded in the following regions:
Republic of Mari El - from RUB 3 million (USD 31,600) to RUB 800,000 (USD 8,400);
Chuvash Republic - from RUB 2.5 million (USD 26,300) to RUB 800,000 (USD 8,400);
Samara Oblast - from RUB 3.6 million (USD 37,900) to RUB 400,000 (USD 4,200 ).
Reductions are also recorded in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Bashkortostan.
"In St. Petersburg, the "governor's" payment of RUB 1.6 million (USD 16,800) was completely canceled by a decree retroactively," the report says.
