On the morning of October 17, emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv city, the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, and partially Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia Regions. It was reported by Ukrenergo.

The reason for the restrictions is the consequences of previous russian strikes on energy infrastructure.

In addition, as a result of another russian drone attack on power facilities, consumers in several regions are without power in the morning. Emergency restoration works started as soon as the security situation allowed.

"In the Chernihiv Region, at the command of the regional power company, hourly power outages of three stages have been introduced. This is the result of systematic enemy attacks on the region's energy infrastructure over the past few weeks. Emergency repair works in the region are ongoing," the power engineers said.

Also, in all regions of Ukraine, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., power limitation schedules for industrial consumers are in effect.

We remind you that in Ukraine emergency power outages may continue for another week.
