The command of the russian occupation army involves units of North Korean troops to support operations in the Sumy Region, in particular, North Korean UAV operators are correcting russian strikes. This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"From the territory of the Kursk Oblast, these units are conducting reconnaissance activities using unmanned aerial vehicles, identifying the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and providing assistance in correcting fire at the positions of Ukrainian units in the Sumy Region," the report says.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces recorded negotiations between North Korean UAV operators and personnel of the russian army, North Korean UAV operators were correcting fire of multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops.
The General Staff notes that due to critical personnel losses and the failure of the offensive operation in the Sumy Region, the russian leadership continues to involve units from North Korea in active combat operations.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine document all established facts of the participation of foreign formations in armed aggression.
"Units involved in aggression against Ukraine will be neutralized in accordance with the laws and rules of warfare," the General Staff reported.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to South Korean intelligence, out of a total of 15,000 people, about 600 North Korean servicemen were killed in fighting on the side of russia against Ukraine.
