The number of participants in the non-bank financial market in September remained unchanged - 791, and the number of banks also remained unchanged - 60.
This is stated in the NBU report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
During September, a change in the scope of the license for the type of activity of providing financial services (narrowing the scope of the license) was agreed upon for one financial company.
As of October 1, 2025, the non-banking financial services market consisted of 418 financial companies (the number did not change), 50 non-life insurers (the number did not change), 10 life insurers (the number did not change), one insurer with a special status, 104 pawnshops (the number did not change), 88 credit unions (the number did not change), one lessor (the number did not change), 45 insurance brokers (the number did not change) and 74 collection companies (the number did not change).
The number of banking groups remained unchanged (16). The number of non-banking financial groups increased by two (41) in September.
The payment market has 15 payment systems created by residents, including state (the number did not change) and 10 international (the number did not change).
At the same time, 17 payment institutions operate in the market of providers of financial payment services (the number has not changed), 12 financial institutions entitled to provide payment services (the number has not changed), one bank - an issuer of electronic money (the number has not changed) and one postal operator (the number has not changed).
Other entities operating in the payment market include 49 commercial agents (there were 48) and 32 technological operators of payment services (the number has not changed). Information on all participants in the payment market is contained here.
During September, the National Bank received 225 requests from market participants regarding registration and licensing actions. The number of requests regarding financial companies, pawnshops and lessors was 144, insurers - 45, credit unions and collection companies - six, banks - 30, payment institutions - zero.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August, 10 non-bank financial institutions were excluded from the registers, 2 institutions were included. The number of non-bank financial market participants in August decreased from 799 (as of August 1, 2025) to 791 (as of September 1, 2025), and the number of banks remained unchanged - 60.
