The combined heat and power plants of Kyiv have all the necessary protection provided by the requirements of the General Staff. Information about the alleged lack of protection is not true and is a political manipulation. The Kyiv City State Administration has stated this and urged not to spread false information.

"A statement by one of the "experts" about the alleged absence of any protection at Kyiv's CHPPs is currently being spread in the media. Such information is a political manipulation and does not correspond to reality. According to the requirements of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the capital's CHPPs have the necessary first-stage protection. Security requirements do not allow us to share more detailed information about this protection in the public domain. And those who consider themselves experts on the topic and take responsibility for commenting on it cannot but be aware of such requirements," the Kyiv City State Administration said in a statement.

Petro Panteleiev, deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, emphasized that key energy facilities, where required, are protected. He also called on media representatives and officials not to spread false information, especially those related to the operation of energy facilities.

"Let me remind you that the dissemination of data on the places of destruction and the state of protection of critical infrastructure facilities is classified as restricted information by the order of the Ministry of Energy No. 92 dated 03/15/2023. Therefore, such "comments" create a number of additional risks for the energy sector and facilitate the enemy's actions," Panteleiev said.

He also spoke about eliminating the consequences of an enemy attack.

"Power engineers have already returned electricity to 270,000 consumers. The restoration of electricity supply continues, and it should be returned to other consumers as soon as possible. So far, water supply is in a limited mode in 4 districts - Holosiivskyi, Pecherskyi, Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi. To provide water to the citizens until the water supply situation is stabilized, 84 pump rooms are connected to generators. In total, there are 170 pumping complexes in the capital, located in all neighborhoods," said the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that the city had transferred UAH 235 million to the military administration of the capital to strengthen Kyiv's air defense system. In particular, for the purchase of drones-interceptors of Shaheds by the military.
