A Ukrainian delegation headed by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko will visit the United States early next week. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Cooperation with the United States continues. The team headed by Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, together with the head of the Office, Andrii Yermak, and my Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk, will be in the United States early next week. Topics: air defense, energy, sanctions steps, negotiation track. The issue of frozen assets from the United States will also be discussed," he said.

Zelenskyy believes that US President Donald Trump wants to end the war in Ukraine and have Ukraine at the negotiating table.

"I think he really wants a ceasefire and an end to the war. I think that was his goal from the beginning. We are grateful for that. I think that our meeting plus the real facts give him a broader understanding that the Russians are "selling" him not what they are capable of doing. It is very important that today, after our meeting, a dialog is taking place at various levels. And everyone, by the way, says that, despite the temperature outside, we have warm relations at different levels," the President noted.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 6, Zelenskyy said that the suspension of the US government (the "shutdown") did not stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
