In russia, large enterprises switching to shortened week - CCD

In the aggressor country of russia, large enterprises are forced to shorten the working week. This is stated in the message of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

Thus, it is reported that the largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery in the russian federation - Rostselmash - has been working only three days a week since August due to a sharp drop in sales. The company has reduced production, abandoned investment projects and states that this is the worst year in the last decade.

"The decline of Rostselmash is a sign of the systemic crisis that has gripped the russian industry. Due to the war, sanctions and a decrease in domestic demand, enterprises are losing markets and financing. Even such flagships in their industry as Rostselmash are on the verge of survival," the CCD noted.

In addition, other large enterprises are also switching to a shortened working week: KamAZ, AvtoVAZ, Kirov Tractor Plant, Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant, etc. The Center adds that in this way companies can legally cut salaries by 20-40% in order to save money.

"The authorities are trying to present the situation as a "modern work format", referring to the "world trends" of a four-day week. But this is another symptom of the economy's exhaustion due to the war," the Center emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the World Bank predicted a deterioration in most indicators of the economy of the aggressor country, russia.
