Russia attacks elevator and energy facility in Chernihiv Region, power outage - Administration

The aggressor state of the russian federation has attacked a power facility in the Pryluky District of Chernihiv region. Some consumers in Pryluky remain without electricity due to the enemy attack. On October 7, hourly blackouts are introduced in the region.

The head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus has reported this.

"The enemy was shelling civilian targets in the Chernihiv Region throughout the day. A fire started in a residential building on the outskirts of Chernihiv due to drone attacks. A power grid facility was also damaged. One person, a civilian, suffered minor injuries and refused hospitalization," the statement said.

In particular, in the Pryluky District, there were hits to energy and economic facilities. It is reported that some subscribers in Pryluky remain without electricity due to the enemy attack - the services are working to restore it quickly.

In addition, in the Novhorod-Siverskyi District, russians attacked a grain elevator with attack UAVs. In another settlement, they hit a house.

In the Koriukivka District, another drone attacked an infrastructure company.

Rescuers promptly extinguished the fires caused by the hits.

"Energy: additional resources have been received to stabilize the situation in the Chernihiv Region... Today, hourly blackout schedules will be in effect in the region. In case of a favorable situation, power engineers will further reduce the scope of restrictions," Chaus added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of October 7, russian occupants hit a locomotive depot and rolling stock in Poltava. In addition, power facilities in the city and in Sumy were hit. There are blackouts due to the attack.
