Animal Adoption Days took place in Kyiv on October 4-5. During the event, 84 animals found new homes: 20 dogs and 64 cats. Serhii Saburov, acting director of the Department of Environmental Protection and Climate Change Adaptation at the Kyiv City State Administration, has reported this.
"Adoption days are another step in the city's systematic approach to solving the issue of stray animals. I am glad that Kyiv residents and guests of the city show their concern and support such initiatives. At the same time, it is important that this event provides an opportunity not only to find a loving family for the four-legged friends, but also to spread the culture of responsible attitude towards animals. We congratulate all those who gave the animals homes and thank everyone who participated. And once again we urge: don't buy - adopt," Saburov said.

He added that there are currently more than 7,000 animals in shelters in Kyiv and the region. So you shouldn't wait for a special day if you want to adopt an animal; you can go to the nearest shelter and find a four-legged friend at any time.
"We want as many animals as possible to find loving families. As we reported earlier, for two days, visitors had the opportunity to meet animals, register their own pets in the Pet Register, take part in a charity fair and attend free lectures and trainings from veterinarians and cynologists. We are grateful to everyone who joined us, because everyone who opens the door of their home to an animal from a shelter changes the lives of two at once - its life and their own," emphasized Serhii Saburov.

This is the fourth such animal adoption event held at the International Exhibition Center. In total, during the previous events of the Adoption Days at the International Exhibition Center, more than 300 animals were adopted.
