An oil refinery in the city of Kirishi, Leningrad Oblast of the russian federation, has suspended the operation of its most powerful primary oil refining unit due to an attack by Ukrainian drones on October 4.
It was reported by Reuters, citing sources.
The unit has a capacity of 160,000 barrels per day, which is about 40% of the plant's total production capacity. It is expected to be restored in about a month.
During the repairs, the refinery plans to bring back into operation another primary distillation unit damaged during a drone attack in mid-September, and will operate at 70% capacity at the expense of other units that will exceed their rated capacity.
