On Sunday morning, russian troops struck Lviv with Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles. Loud explosions were heard in the city, and a massive air attack is underway.
This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi.
At about 06:30 am, missiles were fired from MiG-31 fighters. They flew over the Sumy, Kyiv and Zhytomyr Regions. At 06:36 am, a series of explosions were recorded in Lviv.
Before that, the city had been under attack for several hours by a large number of Shahed kamikaze drones and cruise missiles.
Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi said that public transport would temporarily be out of service due to the shelling.
"Due to the massive enemy attack, public transport in Lviv is not yet on its routes. I ask residents to stay safe! It is dangerous to go out into the streets now!" he stressed.
Part of the city was left without electricity. The air alert continues.
