On the afternoon of October 4, russian invaders attacked the Shostka community of the Sumy Region, targeting a train at the railway station.
This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.
"The enemy targeted civilian infrastructure - a passenger train on the Shostka-Kyiv route," the head of the region wrote.
Hriyhrov also added that there are victims among the passengers. Rescuers, doctors and all emergency services are working at the scene.
President Zelenskyy also reported dozens of victims as a result of the air raid by the invaders. The Head of State informed about this on his official page on the Telegram social network.
"A brutal russian drone strike on the railway station in Shostka. All necessary services are already on site and have begun to provide assistance to people. All information about the victims is being clarified. Dozens of people are known to have been injured. Previously, both Ukrzaliznytsia employees and passengers were at the scene of the attack," the Head of State noted.
He also emphasized that the russians could not have been unaware that they were hitting civilians. And this is terror that the world has no right to ignore.
"Every day, russia takes people's lives. And only force can force them to stop this. We have heard strong statements from Europe and America, and it is high time to translate all of them into reality. Talks are not enough now. Strong actions are needed," Zelenskyy added.
