The army of the russian aggressor country has increased the intensity of reconnaissance drones in the south of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military records up to two and a half hundred such UAVs every day.
Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesman for the South operational command, stated this during a telethon, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
According to him, in September, the occupiers launched 200 to 250 drones daily in the south. We are talking only about reconnaissance UAVs. This is 10-15% more than in August.
"For several days in a row, the weather was deteriorating, there were fewer of them, and before that, the enemy was increasing this component and constantly conducting reconnaissance," Voloshyn said.
The russian army is actively scaling up the production of UAVs. We are talking about both attack drones and drones used for reconnaissance and missile strikes.
According to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in September, the Ukrainian military shot down a little more than 10,000 drones, including 755 reconnaissance UAVs of various types.
The occupiers not only increase the production of drones, but also create new sites from which they are launched across Ukraine.
For example, the russians built one such site in the Bryansk Oblast this summer. According to OSINT analysts, it is located just 35 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
Russians are building another site for launching Shaheds on the territory of the occupied Donetsk airport.
