The SSU's long-range strike drones have once again hit a target at a distance of 1400 km - this time in a town with a telling name Orsk. The hits occured at the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Orenburg Oblast of russia.
Sources in the Security Service of Ukraine have informed the Ukrainian News agency about this.
This refinery has four primary oil refining units and a capacity of 6.6 million tons of oil per year. The plant produces about 30 types of different products: gasoline, diesel fuel, oils, jet fuel, bitumen, fuel oil.
After the hits of drones of the SSU's Center of Special Operations "A", columns of black smoke rose above the refinery. Evacuation was announced at the plant, and local authorities in Orsk urged people not to panic.
"The SSU continues to cause serious damage to the Russian economy by targeting oil and gas facilities in Russia. The decrease in oil and dollar revenues to the budget directly affects the aggressor's ability to continue the war against Ukraine. Almost 40% of Russian oil refineries are already idle. We will continue to work to increase this figure," said an informed source in the SSU.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Western press and politicians are amazed by the scale and systematic nature of the Security Service of Ukraine's strikes on oil and gas facilities in russia.
