The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said that former Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad, who is hiding in Moscow, has been released from hospital after an alleged poisoning.
The organization reported this on social media, citing its own sources.
On September 30, Assad left a medical facility on the outskirts of the russian capital. His condition is estimated to be stable.
During his treatment, only his brother Maher Assad and former Minister of Presidential Affairs of Syria Mansour Fadlallah Azzam, visited him.
SOHR claims that the poisoning was an attempt to embarrass the russian authorities and accuse them of removing Assad. It is not known exactly when the incident occurred.
